Introduction

"I have been in love with photography since I first picked up a camera in high school and began shooting anything and everything. Today, my passion for shooting is stronger than ever and I feel blessed to work in a profession that continues to offer new dimensions of creativity, both for my clients and for me.

"After expanding my photographic universe at The University of Texas in the Radio Television Film Department, I was ultimately drawn to still photography after two years of working in motion picture films. Still photography captures a precise moment in time and now, with digital color and design opportunities, that moment can be viewed in many imaginative ways. I enjoy welcoming others to see the magnificence of a landscape, an architectural or design element, or nature, as I see it through the lens of my camera.

"Currently, my commercial work includes shooting historic and contemporary architectural projects, exteriors and interiors for restaurants, real estate developments, and environmental landscapes of golf courses – all of which I love to shoot. An avid golfer myself, I enjoy shooting golf courses because I see them with both a golfer's perspective and a trained photographer's eye.

"When traveling across Texas for shoots, I also am working on a Texas Churches book which has taken on a life of its own. The churches, from the largest to the smallest, offer some of the best and most interesting architecture in our state. The Painted Churches of Texas, in and around the Hill Country, are my favorites.

"For me, photography is a discipline and pleasure that continues to change. A photograph can make a dramatic difference in creating a powerful message, telling a story, or simply inspiring a positive emotion with an image of something intriguingly beautiful."
